Laboratory Analysis of Oil, Coolant, and Fuel Samples
LionHeart utilizes an independent laboratory to analyze oil, engine coolant, and diesel fuel. All Analyses are carefully reviewed and recommendations are presented when warranted. Each laboratory analysis provides historical readings in each report to provide accurate trending – which is the key to predictive maintenance on individual engines.
Laboratory Coolant Analysis
While most service companies recommend replacing engine coolant every two to three years, our Service Team has found that proper monitoring and maintenance can extend the life of coolant several years and reduce our clients’ operating costs. The laboratory analysis also provides insight to the engine’s or radiators internal degradation. This inexpensive analysis is the simplest way our customers save thousands of dollars when using LionHeart to protect their investment.
Laboratory Oil Analysis
Close monitoring of the oil’s condition over time helps forewarn of internal engine concerns. Lab analyses indicate if high levels of wear metals are present (such as iron and copper) or abnormal contaminates such as diesel fuel or coolant are in the oil (evidence of leaking fuel injectors, head gaskets or seals). These important indicators can thwart a catastrophic failure or costly repair.
Laboratory Fuel Analysis
LionHeart strongly encourages annual Laboratory Analysis of diesel fuel supplies when the fuel is not ‘turned-over’ frequently. With a comprehensive laboratory analysis, we are able to assess and (if necessary) recommend a fuel treatment product to stabilize fuel, increase cetane rating, and prevent corrosion or microbial growth. |
